National Science Week is supported at grass-roots levels in all states and territories through Coordinating Committees, whose members have significant expertise in science communication and promotion.

In each state and territory there is a representative from the local Science Teachers' Association to assist schools’, teachers’ and students’ participation in National Science Week.
